Missing Persons expert and research consultant

I provide expert comment to the media about a range of issues – women’s emotional health, parenting, issues affecting health professionals, Victims of Crime issues and specifically about the experience of loss when someone is missing where I am a subject matter expert given the focus of my Doctoral study and my clinical skills in ambiguous loss.

I use an evidence based approach to sharing the stories that might resonate with readers – working on both sides, as a freelance writer and as a researcher/mental health clinician I understand the power of a strong narrative.

I have a long history of Social work management – working for Australian State and Commonwealth organisations as well as involvement in mental health and bereavement projects with not for profit organisations.

In a consultancy role I can assist with:

Expertise: Communication, Systems Knowledge of agencies, and Visioning/Project Planning.

Evaluation: Mixed methods research strategies (compare/contrast/review) current systems and report on efficiency enhanced by my skills in project management and process planning.

Evaluation: Use of scales and evaluation to identify program/service effectiveness and provide consumer feedback through the review of relevant literature (either systematically or through brief desk reviews) and in depth interviews or focus groups.

My media credits include SBS insight, Sunrise, the David and Kim Show, the Today show, Mornings with Kerrianne, ABC Radio National, Nova FM, JJJ Hack Program, Drive time with Richard Glover and various regional radio programs and podcasts for counselling/media sites.
